Digital payment platform Paytm has announced a new feature for that allows users to send money to their contacts directly via their smartphone's phonebook. The feature is currently available only for Android users. will be integrated in the phone book of the user's smartphone.
The Noida-based company also shared a small video clip on its Twitter account explaining how the feature works. To use the feature, users just need to open their phone book and select the contact to whom they wish to send the money. Once they have selected the contact, they will see a 'Send Money' option. After this, the users need to enter the amount they want to send and just tap on 'Proceed to Pay'.
The feature can be used to send money to virtually anyone with an Android smartphone and the Paytm app at zero extra fee.
