HMD Global has finally revealed its much talked about flagship smartphone , the Nokia 8. The company's first high-end smartphone was unveiled at an event in London, UK, and will be hitting the shelves in the Europe starting first week of September. The device is priced at 599 euros (roughly Rs 45,200). The smartphone comes with top-of-the-line specifications. Here are some of the key features of Nokia 8
13MP dual-rear cameras with Carl Zeiss lenses
This is perhaps one of the most talked about features of the Nokia 8. The smartphone comes with dual 13MP rear cameras. Both are powered by Carl Zeiss. While the first lens shoots coloured shots with OIS, the secondary rear camera shoots in monochrome. The primary camera has an aperture of f/2.0 along with PDAF and dual-tone LED flash.
'Bothie' feature
Ever since the launch of Nokia 8, HMD Global has been advertising the smartphone's 'Bothie' feature or Dual-Sight mode. The feature makes use of both the front and rear cameras of the smartphone to show the two angles on the screen. People can use this feature to live stream on YouTube and Facebook Live.
Nokia OZO spatial audio technology
Nokia 8 is also HMD's first smartphone to come with OZO spatial 360-degree audio technology. The technology allows the smartphone to capture crisp and clear sounds, removing the ambient noise or background noise. The feature, when clubbed with video recording, results in an enhanced multimedia experience.
Qualcomm's top-end processor Snapdragon 835 processor
Nokia 8 runs on the latest and also one of the most powerful mobile processors available in the market right now - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The octa-core processor should work at its best when clubbed with 4GB RAM and stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat UI.
6000 series aluminium uni-body build
Like the previous models, the Nokia 8 too is made out of metal except for a better quality 6000 series aluminium block. This not only gives the device sturdiness but a premium look as well. The device comes in four colour options - Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, Steel and Polished Copper.
