Search giant Google is expected to soon roll out the next version of its Android operating system O. As the smartphone makers gear up for the next big Android launch, Japanese smartphone maker Sony has reportedly announced a list of its smartphones that will be getting the update. The list, which includes many of the smartphones launched last year as well as this year, is said to have appeared on Japanese website Gazyekichi.
It includes Sony Xperia XZ, Xperia XZs, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia X Compact, Xperia X, Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Ultra and Xperia L1.
The upcoming Andoid O OS is said to include several new features such as Picture-in-Picture, notification badges, Google Chrome autofill, new home screen for Android TV, smart text selection, background limits and various other system optimizations.
Last month, Sony launched its Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphone in India at ₹29,990. The Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra comes with a 6-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass. Equipped with the Type C USB connector, the handset has a 2,700mAh battery with fast charging support.
