Thin bezels seem to be a trend among smartphone manufacturers this year. Chinese handset maker Xiaomi , which showcased thin bezels in its Mi Mix 'concept device', is reportedly working on the smartphone's successor. And much like the predecessor, Mi Mix 2 will also sport very thin bezels.
According to the report, which first appeared in The Verge, renowned designer Philippe Starck, who is said to be working on the Mi Mix 2, shared a video named 'Mi Mix 2 Conceptual Product Design WIP' on his official Facebook page.
As per the video, Xiaomi's Mi Mix 2 will sport even thinner bezels than its predecessor. However, it should be noted that the video shared by Philippe Starck is conceptual and there may be changes in the final product when it gets launched.
Xiaomi recently launched two smartphones with dual rear cameras so far this year -- Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Mi 5X . And recently it was in news that at least one of the two devices is set to launch in India soon.
Speaking of the imaging duties of both the devices, Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with 12MP dual rear cameras. One of its dual rear cameras is used for telephoto zooming while the other is for wide-angle shots. The wide-angle lens comes with f/2.2 aperture while the telephoto zoom lens comes with f/2.6 aperture.
The other smartphone by Xiaomi that sports a dual rear camera, Mi 6 also has 12MP lenses. One of the two is a wide-angle lens while the other is telephoto. The rear cameras of Xiaomi Mi 6 also come with OIS and 4K video recording capability. The smartphone also comes with 8MP front facing snapper for selfies and video calls.
