It seems that HMD-Global is all set to launch its latest flagship smartphone Nokia 8 in India. The company is planning to launch the smartphone either on September 26 or September 27. The company will also start sending the official media invites shortly.
To recall, the company launched the Nokia 8 globally in August this year. The smartphone features a 5.3-inch QHD display with 1440x2560 pixels resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
The smartphone offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The Nokia 8 comes with dual rear camera setup powered by 13MP sensors each. The camera lens comes from Carl Zeiss. While the first lens shoots colored shots with OIS, the secondary rear camera shoots in monochrome. The primary camera has an aperture of f/2.0 along with PDAF and dual-tone flash. Nokia 8 is also the company's first to come with Nokia OZO audio, which is a 360-degree audio technology for better multimedia experience. The cameras can also capture videos in 4K resolution. At the front, there is a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and display flash.
One of the most highlighted features of the device is 'Bothie' or Dual-Sight mode, which makes use of both front and rear cameras to show both angles on the screen. People can use this feature to live stream on YouTube and Facebook Live as well.
Measuring 151.5x73.7x7.9mm, the smartphone is backed by a 3090mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge support. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and NFC.
