OnePlus 5T, the Chinese smartphone maker's upcoming smartphone, has had a constant presence on the web, be it through leaks or official discussions by the CEO. Until now we saw the render images of the smartphone but this time the handset has appeared in hands-on images. The review guide with all the specs are also shown.
The images reportedly come from ZDNET.de website (via Phonearena). The webpage states that the publication got the OnePlus 5T smartphone without being asked. The pack only included a cover letter along with the review guide.
It has been mentioned that there was no NDA signed between ZDNET and OnePlus so the publication went ahead and posted the hands-on images on the website.
However, later on the request of OnePlus, the OnePlus 5T images were taken down.
The images re-confirmed that OnePlus 5T will be featuring a larger 18:9 aspect ratio display, like it has been rumored since months. Since the display is bigger and the body frame is similar to OnePlus 5, the fingerprint sensor has moved from front to back. Rest of the design stays the same.
The images showing the spec sheet was also revealed. According to the list, OnePlus 5T will sport a 6.01-inch full HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) Optic Amoled display with a pixel density of 401ppi and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It may run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and get Android 8.0 Oreo later.
Powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the smartphone will come in 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The 6GB RAM variant could come with 64GB inbuilt storage, while the 8GB RAM variant could feature 128GB storage.
According to the images showing the review guide, the OnePlus 5T will sport a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor along with f/1.7 aperture. The secondary rear camera will come with a 20MP Sony IMX376K camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual LED flash. AT the front there is a 16MP Sony IMX 371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It is have a 3300mAh battery, according to the review guide.
OnePlus 5T is scheduled to launch in November 16 in India and to go on 'Early Access' sales in the country from November 21. This will be for Amazon Prime members. The general sales start from November 28.
