OnePlus 5T has generated enough hype and is now ready to see the light of the day. The Chinese tech firm's CEO recently explained why it is including a 3.5mm headphone jack in the OnePlus 5T. And now, the company has revealed the launch details of the device.
The OnePlus 5T will be launched on November 16, Thursday at 11 AM ET (21:30 hrs IST) at an event in Brooklyn, New York.
For those in India, OnePlus will be hosting the live launch stream at PVR Chanakyapuri, New Delhi at the same time and day. Users can also select PVR theatres from Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune to watch the launch. OnePlus fans will be able to book the tickets at Rs 99 from BookMyShow starting November 8, 10am.
Furthermore, OnePlus will have an early access sale of the OnePlus 5T at 16.30 IST on Amazon.in and oneplusstore.in. The company says that the smartphone will be made available through all the sales channels in the country later.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau last week went ahead and announced the smartphone in a company blog post. He also confirmed that the smartphone will include a feature that most of the flagship smartphones seem to be moving away from - 3.5mm headphone jack.
According to him, 70% members in the OnePlus community said that they prioritize sound quality. In addition Lau thinks that wireless earbuds "aren't there yet to provide the same quality of audio." Hence, the company took the decision to include the 3.5mm headphone jack.
No other feature has been confirmed by the company. However, it's newest video teaser on YouTube strongly hints and confirms the previous claims of the smartphone sporting an extended 18:9 aspect ratio display. With a bigger display, the company might also put in a slightly bigger battery.
