Apple iPhone X, the company's first smartphone with OLED screen, seems to be facing an issue wherein it shows a persistent green line on one of the sides. This issue was spotted by a couple of users who took it to Twitter and posted images showing the display issue.
"Wife's iPhone X just developed a column of bright green pixels good thing we'll be near an Apple store this week @AppleSupport," tweeted one of the affected users along with the image.
Some have even posted about the issue on the Apple forum along with the images. For now, no one knows the real reason that is causing the problem. Apple too has not given any official word no the matter.
TechCrunch speculates that the iPhone X have diamond sub-pixel pattern in their OLED screens. Due to this pattern, the green pixels fall in a single line, which the red and blue pixels alternate. The image showing the diamond pattern is seen in DisplayMate's test.
Also mentioned is that an electrical fault may be resulting in the voltage being flowed to all the green pixels in a line.
Since one of the users have claimed that the affected Apple iPhone X was replaced by the Apple Store, it could be hardware issue instead of software.
Apple has already told users that the iPhone X screen might not function as intended at extreme temperatures.

The company in one of the iPhone X support pages reveal that it too may witness screen burns and color tint issues over time. Apple says that this is something expected from an OLED screen. The company also added that it has worked on the OLED screens of the iPhone X to reduce the effect of OLED burn-in as much as possible.
It is worth adding that the flagship smartphone's screen repair cost is $279 (roughly ₹18,100) in the US. For other damages, the firm will cost $549 (roughly ₹35,600).
