After Samsung, LG has announced that it will be launching at the upcoming CES 2018 conference. The South Korean tech firm will be giving us a deeper look at a couple of its upcoming monitors, one of which sports a 5K resolution ultra-wide HDR panel.
The first monitor that will be gracing the company's booth at CES 2018 is the 32-inch UHD 4K monitor - 32UK950. This is claimed to be company's first to feature advanced Nano IPS technology, which enhances the 'intensity and purity' of colors on the screen. The monitor is supposed to throw out 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum.
LG 32UK950 is said to be ideal for media creators as it comes with HDR600 support and peak brightness of 600 candelas. The monitor includes Thunderbolt 3 docking display, letting users set up dual 4K monitors together. It boasts LG's signature Edge-ArcLine Stand and a 4-Side Edge Borderless Design for a better overall viewing experience.
The second monitor that CES 2018 visitors will see is the 34-inch UltraWide 5K monitor - 34WK95U. This 5K (5120x2160 pixels) resolution monitor is the South Korean tech firm's first to come with 21:9 aspect ratio. Since it is an ultra-wide screen, naturally is ideal for those who multi-task (video editors, photographers, software developers) on several programs or software.
LG 34WK95U includes Nano IPS technology and HDR600 support just like the 32UK950, along with Thunderbolt 3 port, Edge-ArcLine Stand and 4-Side Edge Borderless Design.
LG is expected to reveal some more details on its new monitor line up at the CES 2018 conference. It may also reveal the prices and the availability details. LG said users will also be able to get the glimpse of its new QHD gaming monitor - 34GK950G, which sports Nano IPS technology and G-Sync technology.
Chang Ik-hwan, head of LG's IT business division said that "With these latest premium monitors from LG, we wanted to communicate that LG is absolutely committed to delivering the best possible screen resolution and the best user experience on a desk or workspace."
