Hey, guys its Zedd again. So let's continue my previous post on Privacy & Security in the cyber world.Today lets talk about bigotry.Bigotry is simply intolerance towards those who hold different opinions from oneself.I believe that we all are born free in this world and hence we all have the right to choose our own path in life, unless it hurts somebody. But nowadays we are becoming increasingly intolerant. We are concerned more about others than we are with our own lives.
Most people go through life thinking that tomorrow they’re going to do something great. Tomorrow will be the day that they wake up and discover what they were put on this earth to do. But then tomorrow comes and goes. As does the next day. Before long, they realize that there aren’t that many tomorrows left - American Kingpin By Nick Bilton
All of us are living in a world bound by rules. No one cares if you believe in the principles associated with those rules. If you don't follow them you will be punished. But who made those rules?Of course we did.God created this planet as a free world. We made rules in order to regulate and reduce crimes. Now, what are crimes?Initially, they were defined as anything that hurts another human being. And yes no one has the right to hurt others as we are all born to enjoy our lives and live freely on this planet. But now crimes are defined as anything that offends a group of people. The group can be a majority or minority. But once a rule is made, every human being is bound to obey it.
This has turned into a major weapon for the governments to control its people. Two such examples are alcohol and drugs. While alcohol is banned in some countries, drugs are banned pretty much everywhere. But the irony is that no one forces you to consume drugs. It is just like any other commodity available on this planet. It also follows the simple demand & supply principle. If there was no demand for drugs, then there won't be any supply.Simple as that!Nowadays we see that drug dealers get more time than rapists and murderers.People ask for drugs, but no one asks to be raped!!!
Another general misconception created by the government is that drugs lead to violence. But the truth is that violence occurs due to the government resistance against the sale of drugs. If drugs were legal, their won't be any violence because violence occurs when people operate against the law.I loved the book American Kingpin & moreover, I liked Ross Ulbricht as a person.I won't justify the murders he ordered (if he had indeed done any), but I wholeheartedly admired the Silk Road.Silk Road successfully conducted peaceful drug trade, until the government interfered. This proves my point that government interference is responsible for violence in many cases.
Now according to the government, drugs are harmful to the body and hence they must be banned. But things such as pollution and obesity kills more people than drugs. So will they even ban vehicles and burgers?Ban is not a solution to any problem.Every man on this planet has the right to do whatever he/she wants to do with his/her body. Not everyone wishes to live for 100 years. Some people just wish to have complete freedom in their lives. So it is the job of the government to protect the freedom of its people and respect the choice of every individual.Because the government should be a guardian and not a dictator.
