HMD Global, the company that holds the license to manufacture Nokia-branded smartphones, launched its Nokia 7 in China recently. Now it seems that the company will soon launch the same globally.
According to a report by AndroidHeadlines, the Finnish manufacturer will launch the Nokia 7 globally in early 2018. However, during the launch, Nokia 2, the company's global chief marketing officer Pekka Rantala said, "Nokia 7 is designed for Chinese consumers, so currently we've no plans to bring it to India."
So, it is still not clear that the company will launch the Nokia 7 in India or not.
To recall, the company priced the Nokia 7 CNY 2,499 and CNY 2,699 for the 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM model. Available in Glassy Black and Matte White finish, the smartphone comes with Series 7000 Aluminium build, which is the strongest in the lineup.
The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box. As the other Nokia smartphones, this one will also receive Android 8.0 Oreo update. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor paired with 4GB/6GB RAM. The device offers 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 16MP rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens, f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. The device comes with a 5MP front-facing shooter for selfies.
Like the Nokia 8, the Nokia 7 also comes with a Bothie feature. The Bothie feature harnesses both the front and rear cameras in a split screen visual for both photos and videos. The feature can be activated in one touch and promises to offer a more immersive experience will live streaming on YouTube and Facebook.
The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
